Mabel Rush Elementary School is excited to announce that the Chehalem Cultural Center will be hosting an art show featuring student artwork created through the Mabel Rush Elementary School Art Literary Program. The Mabel Rush Art Literacy program is supported by the Mabel Rush PIE (Partners in Education) parent group and is taught by parent volunteers. Through the Art Literacy program this year, students have studied the wonderful art of George Seurat, Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh. The show will include Mabel Rush student art inspired by Seurat, Monet and Van Gogh. The student art will be judged by local Newberg art enthusiasts, with the awards ceremony and reception taking place Friday, June 6th from 5 -8pm and is open to the public.
